The materials, that surround us on a daily basis, are often underestimated (have often undisclosed potentials). It’s by starting on the principle of valuing established materials, such as perforated metal sheet, that the “Valet” has taken shape. Keeping the simplicity and efficiency that offers the folding proceed, “Valet” is a perforated metal sheet, cut, fold and the assembled using threaded rods. The transparency, lightness and the structural quality of the sheet are put forward, demonstrating the different possibilities of the materials. In particular, the use of its holes that turn into support, forming shelves. «Valet» was though as a valet, support of any objects. Thank’s to this simple system, the perforated sheet takes on an aesthetic, structural and formal value, thus inserting it into our interior. The perforated metal sheet, by its transparency, lightness and structural qualities, become a material giving the possibility to «Valet» to extend to infinity. The inserted system allows using the materials in a complete way. The object becomes a space generator and fits on an almost scenographic scale.
